The Silver Lining - Part 2

Part 2: *Andy's POV-the next week* the week after I was in the studio with the guys, I traveled to Navada to meet up with my surrogate because she wanted me to be there for her next appointment.
As I drove through the neighborhood, I received a text message from my surrogate inviting me to dinner with her and her family.
At first, I thought about declining the invitation.
But I also didn't want to be rude.
I mean Ashley was also here and wanted to hang out with me later.
So, I replied with a simple "Sure!"
Then, I stepped out of my car as the phone rang with another text.
I read the text and looked at the door.
It read "Great! We'll meet up with Greg and the kids at Horace's after the appointment."
When I walked up to the door and knocked on it, I could see a teenager in a t-shirt with my picture on it walk up to the door and open it.
When the door opened, the girl screamed when she saw me.
"Oh my God! Andy's at my door!" she squealed
"Is your mom home?" I asked awkwardly
"Oh! Sorry! Forgot you and my mom were working out this whole 'surrogate' thing." my surrogate's daughter said "Come in. I'll tell her you're here."
She then grabbed her crutches and hobbled over to the kitchen.
"Mom?" she said "Andy's here."
Just as I was checking my text messages, I heard my surrogate's voice say my name.
"Andy! Welcome!" she greeted "how was the drive?"
"It was...okay." I said
Then, my surrogate checked her watch and said "Well, I guess we should get going."
"Already?" I asked
"I'm sorry. I should have told you what time the appointment was." my surrogate said
"Please don't worry about it. I don't want you to get stressed in your condition. It could hurt my little girl." I said
Later at the doctor's office, I sat in a chair next to my surrogate and looked at the screen as the doctor moved the probe around on her belly.
"So Andy, do you have a name picked out for your little princess?" the doctor asked
I smiled and laughed a little.
I had a name picked out for my baby for two months.
Even though the guys hated it, I fell in love with it.
That and I let Ashley have my first choice.
That's right.
I would have named my baby Lily.
So I've decided to call my baby Tuesday instead.
"Yes." I said to the doctor "Her name is going to be Tuesday Valentine."
"Why Tuesday?" my surrogate asked
"Because I let my friend have the first option." I said
Later after the appointment, my surrogate and I met her family for dinner.
As we sat at the table, my surrogate showed her family the latest ultrasound pictures.
"She's so cute!" my surrogate's daughter said
"Are you sure that's a girl?" her brother (my surrogate's son) asked
"Of course she's a girl." l replied, leaning over to kiss my unborn daughter through my surrogate's bump
My surrogate's husband laughed a little.
"She's still in the womb and you're already eager to become a father." he said
I laughed and replied "Yeah. Who wouldn't be?"
Later that night as I came back to my hotel room, my phone rang with another text.
I picked it up and read it.
"Hey Andy! It's Ash. I just wanted to tell you that I arrived early." it said
I then looked out the window then, replied to the text "I'll be right out."
In Ashley's car, I began to go through the ultrasound pictures of my little girl and smiled as I looked at each one.
Then, Ashley looked over and asked "What's that?"
"Just some ultrasound pictures. How's Lily?" I replied
"She's fine. She and Jake went to a childrens' museum today then met CC at the beach." Ashley said
"What was CC doing at the beach?" I asked
"I don't know." Ash said as he then looked over at the ultrasound pictures and smiled "May I see?"
Well, we were sitting in traffic so I guess it couldn't hurt.
I took out the photos and began to show them off to Ashley.
"How far along?" Ashley asked
"Six months now." I replied
"Are you nervous?" Ashley asked
"I'm VERY nervous." I said
Ashley just shook his head and said "Don't worry. After the first week, you'll get the hang of it."
